Atmaja originated with the idea that adoptive
families often need to discuss their particular problems
and experiences with others who have similar experiences. We also felt
that it is healthy for our children to meet other adopted children, so that
they know that they are not “strange” or “weird”. Thus
many activities that Atmaja organises
are social gatherings such as picnics, outings to the zoo, film shows or just
occasions to meet and chat while the children play. We also have
interactions with counsellors on “Better Parenting” and
other issues. A list of such activities include:

children with Baul Mon

We also maintain Office Hours every
Friday from 6.30 to 8.30 pm at 28 Ballygunge Gardens, Kolkata where many people
come and visit, often with their children.
